The Military Police Brigade, alongside the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and other stakeholders, conducted a series of community service activities in the capital City as part of activities marking the 45th Tarehe Sita Anniversary.

The teams cleaned selected areas across the city, including key drainage channels to promote hygiene and reinforce the spirit of working together for the common good.

Major General William Beinomugisha, Commandant of the Military Police Brigade, said the anniversary was an opportunity to honour the men and women who started the revolution, whose work continues to shape the country’s progress.

“The results are evident across all aspects of Uganda’s development.”

Mr. Kabuye Edward, the Principal Administrator of Kiruddu Hospital, praised the professionalism of the UPDF, noting that “the army we have today is far different from the soldiers of the old days.”

While the Kigezi sub-region was chosen to host this year’s celebrations, other UPDF units participated in activities within their areas of responsibility.

The event is a testament to UPDF’s commitment to strengthening community engagement and nation-building, as well as a celebration of Uganda’s hard-won peace and stability.
