The activities included sanitation exercises and provided free medical services to local communities in the areas of Kigungu, Kasenyi, Kitoro Town, Entebbe Central Market, and Abaita Ababiri.

The SFC Director of Political Commissariat, Col Moses Musinguzi, said the activities were aimed at giving back to the population, strengthening the strategic bond between civilians and the armed forces, and honouring the sacrifices of freedom fighters.

In Entebbe, clean-up exercises targeted public areas such as Kigungu Trading Centre, Kitoro Town, Entebbe Central Market, Abaita Ababiri, and Kasenyi. Concurrently, free medical camps in Kigungu and Kasenyi provided testing and treatment to hundreds of residents.

At the Kasenyi camp, Major Samson Mucunguzi, Commandant of the VVIP Training School, reported a high turnout from residents for the medical camp.

“Despite rain and late hours, more than 450 people have received medical services, with more continuing to arrive,” he said.

This 45th Tarehe Sita Celebrations main event is scheduled for the National Teachers College (NTC) Grounds in Kabale, Kigezi Sub-region, under the theme: “Defending the Gains of the Revolution and Honouring the Sacrifice of the Freedom Fighters: A Call for National Unity, Peace, and Socio-Economic Transformation.”
