Kenya Airways has announced flight disruptions at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) following operational delays linked to air traffic control measures.

In a customer update issued on Monday February 16, the airline informed passengers that the disruptions stem from contingency measures implemented by the Kenyan Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) to safeguard aviation safety and ensure service continuity.

According to the advisory, the airline is currently experiencing air traffic control operational delays at JKIA, impacting certain departures and arrivals.

“We are currently experiencing air traffic control operational delays at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), affecting certain departures and arrivals,” the statement read.

The measures were announced following a statement by KCAA on the implementation of contingency protocols effective February 16, 2026.

Kenya Airways has advised travelers to anticipate possible schedule changes, including flight delays, as efforts continue to stabilise operations.
