Hon. Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi was in Kabango this evening as Masindi District formally endorsed Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for President in 2031 and beyond, ahead of the Expose the Corrupt rally.
The endorsement brought together PLU coordinators, elected leaders and residents from Masindi and neighbouring parts of Bunyoro.
Working on the ground in Masindi were Hon. Dr. Florence Asiimwe Akiiki, Woman MP for Masindi District and interim PLU coordinator for the district, together with Mr. John Karuhanga Amooti, interim coordinator for Masindi Municipality. Their mobilisation helped bring local structures and residents into the Kabango engagement.
Hon. Balaam was joined by Hon. Beatrice Wembabazi, Woman MP for Hoima District; Hon. Kenneth Kiiza, MP for Bujenje County; Hon. Jovia Katusiime, Woman MP for Kiryandongo District; Princess Diana from Hoima, the Mayor of Masindi Municipality, the Masindi District Chairperson, and other local leaders.
The evening gave Masindi residents an opportunity to add their endorsement to the growing support for Gen. Kainerugaba while also taking part in the wider discussion around accountability and corruption under the Expose the Corrupt programme.
With leaders from across Bunyoro joining the Masindi gathering, the endorsement also reflected the increasingly coordinated mobilisation taking shape across the sub-region.
For Masindi, the emphasis now turns to strengthening the local PLU structures and carrying the endorsement activity further into the district’s communities.
