While appearing on YouTube Channel – (Dr. Kwefu Official) hosted by Dr. Kwefu, Rubaga North MP Abubaker Kawalya of the National Unity Platform (NUP) declined to give a direct response when asked whether he accompanied Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)’s vice Chairperson for Central region and Mawokota South MP, Yusuf Nsibambi to meet President Museveni.
Instead, Kawalya launched personal attacks against Democratic Front Party Spokesman Moses Kasibante, who in an earlier podcast with Kwezi had named several NUP MPs he alleged attended the meeting.

According to Democratic Front Party (DF) spokesman these included Denes Sekabira of Katikamu North in Luweero District, Evans Kanyike of Bukoto East (Masaka District) in the 11th Parliament & Shadow Minister for Energy & Mineral Development and Buikwe defeated woman MP candidate Faridah Nabatanzi who heads Kyagulanyi’s defunct Kunga mobilization campaign in Buganda.
Quoting sources from Nsibambi’s group who went for the meeting, Kasibante added that the Bukomansimbi MP Kayemba Solo also of NUP was part of the delegation but dropped out at the last minute after it turned out that he hadn’t taken his covid test which is a must for whoever goes to meet Museveni.
A panicky Kawalya who solicited the Dr. Kwefu interview to be able to respond, said that Kasibante is full envy and hates him because of his big personal accomplishments as a person.
He said Kasibante, who he replaced in Rubaga north in 2021, is these days a very poor man who hates those who are financially doing well, like himself. Kawalya claimed to be a very rich man whose assets Kasibante can never achieve even if God gives him 100 years on His planet earth.
He claimed that Kasibante’s farm business in Wakiso near Kyengera is now collapsing because his pigs died and his coffee trees are drying up.
He said Kasibante is desperate and wants to destroy his image because he wants to once again become MP and resume getting free money in parliament. “He is sinking and doesn’t want to sink alone,” Kawalya said of Kasibante. Kawalya added that the MP position is more lucrative than even being the lord mayor of Kampala, which is why Kasibante is hurting because he missed a lot.
Without directly answering whether he was part of Nsibambi’s delegation or not, Kawalya said that Kasibante was angry because Kawalya and other NUP leaders in Lubaga division had joined Zachary Mberaze to prevent him from becoming the new area mayor for Lubaga division.
“He fears me as a person because he can never reach my level. He went for Mberaze thinking it would be easy, but we ganged up as NUP leaders and stopped him because we are the national unity platform.”
Kasibante says he has his sources and as an investigative journalist he trusts his informers and that Kawalya and other NUP MPs are free to take him to court if they think he is telling lies against them. “If they weren’t at state house with Yusuf Nsibambi for that meeting, I challenge them to come out and deny or take me to court for defamation.”
