National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) Hoima Albertine Graben Enforcement Team has halted operations of an upcoming Gold mining facility in Bukuya SubCounty Kasanda District over environmental concerns.
Inspection indicated;
- No ESIA certificate.
- Utilisation of underground water- no Water abstraction permit.
- And the facility is located in a wetland
