Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited (UEGCL) presented its audited financial accounts to its Shareholders, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) and the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED).
During the meeting, the UEGCL BoD Chairperson – Eng. Proscovia Njuki, highlighted a transformational year marked by a 40% surge in revenue to UGX 492 billion, strengthened equity of UGX 1.54 trillion, and exceptional operational performance across all the Company’s power plants.
The AGM also showcased key strategic milestones, including the commissioning of the 6.6 MW Nyagak III SHPP, progress on Uganda’s 1st floating solar project on the Isimba reservior, and continued progress under the Nalubaale–Kiira Rehabilitation Program.
