Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) Board of Directors and Management Team visited Kabalega International Airport in Hoima to assess the progress of works on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
Dr. Steven B. K. Kavuma (DCJ) Emeritus, Board Chairperson who led the team applauded the contractor for the tremendous work and progress made, which is now at 97% level of completion.
The airport is a Code 4F facility. The works that have been concluded include a parallel runway, Cargo Terminal, Fire station and a meteorological facility. A mobile control Tower is to be installed in due course.
The airport access road is at 44% level of completion. The works are to be completed by March 2026.
