Peace Islamic Community Uganda has committed to participating in mobilisation activities supporting Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s proposed 2031 presidential bid, following a meeting with PLU General Secretary Rt. Hon. Twalla Fadil this afternoon.
The commitment was made during an engagement between Fadil and a delegation representing the community, which expressed its intention to mobilise support for the PLU Chairman ahead of 2031.
The meeting brought another organised community group into direct contact with the PLU leadership, as engagements continue with different associations, professional bodies and community organisations.
For the Peace Islamic Community Uganda delegation, the discussion provided an opportunity to communicate its position directly to the General Secretary and outline its commitment to participating in the mobilisation effort.
The engagement adds to a series of meetings held by the PLU Secretariat with organised groups taking part in activities surrounding Gen. Kainerugaba’s proposed 2031 presidential candidature.
